For me, drawing is not an occasional activity, but an ongoing practice. Over time, the ballpoint pen has become my tool of choice. It’s always close at hand, and I use it consistently and with great dedication 🙂 .
The works take shape very slowly … I have a passion for detail, often over long periods of time. The drawings oscillate between realistic elements and abstract structures, without dictating a single interpretation. Much of it develops during the process, through repetition, close observation and perseverance.
My pictures are not intended to distract or entertain. They are conceived as spaces for contemplation – quiet, condensed, demanding. They invite the viewer to slow down their gaze and allow themselves to be drawn into the act of seeing.
At the same time, some drawings and portrait works also emerge in a quicker, more relaxed style. A tension between concentrated density and immediate spontaneity.
This year, these works are due to be exhibited at various venues.
